Suwannee River State Park and Ichetucknee Springs State Park

CAMPING…. TUBING…. FOOD…. FELLOWSHIP…. FUN!

Oh yeah, it’s that time of year again... Summer Social! We are going to have a blast at this new and improved, fun, exciting, and, you guessed it, socializing event.

This year, we are going to camp at Suwannee River State Park near Live Oak, Florida, and go tubing at Ichetucknee Springs in Fort White, Florida, on Saturday. That is going to be so refreshing in the heat of the summer! What a great way to share fellowship with your brothers!

The plan for us is to depart by chapters on Friday afternoon, July 18, 2008, eat dinner en route, and arrive at Suwannee River State Park between 7:00 and 8:00 PM EDT. We’ll get up bright and early on Saturday morning and then leave to go tubing. We’ll eat lunch at Ichetucknee Springs Park on Saturday. At the end of the tubing trip, you can relax in the cool spring waters at the park. We’ll return to Suwannee River State Park Saturday night for dinner. We will eat breakfast and depart for home on Sunday morning, July 20.

For this trip, we are asking for $25 per person for tubing, park admission, camping and food. This fee will cover all meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. You will be responsible for your meal on Friday night en route to the park. Transportation arrangements and gasoline costs will be arranged by individual chapters. Arrowmen are asked to travel in Class “B” (activity) uniforms.

Bring your camping gear, a cup, a canteen or water bottle, and of course a swimsuit and towel, as well as water shoes. Don’t forget your SUNSCREEN!

Please get your registration form and payment in by Friday, July 11th, 2008. We need enough time to purchase food and reserve tubes for everyone.
